10 Years revealing secrets because there is no excuse for secrecy in religion (w1997 June 1) – Dan 2:47; Matt 10:26; Mark 4:22; Luke 12:2; Acts 4:19. 20.

The Friday morning began with the Chairman’s address given by Stephen Lett, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. During his address, he gave a preview of the entire three-day convention program.
Of particular interest on the Saturday morning is the 20-minute lecture “Young People—Choose a Path That Leads to Peace!” in which Jehovah’s Witnesses would encourage young people to secure their future by choosing to promote the religious beliefs and practices of this extreme cult and actively participate in religious activities, rather than becoming self-sustainable, laying a foundation to make a meaningful contribution to society and possibly raise a family later on.
If you are an education professional reading this article, such as a school guidance officer or you are involved in the education of children, this lecture deserves your attention and is now available for download on jw.org.
At this symposium, Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that by following the example of the good Samaritan at Luke 10:33, 34, this “will lead to their enjoying everlasting peace in God’s new world.” They also claim that “our neighbors include not only our family members and our Christian brothers and sisters but all whom we encounter from day to day. In other words, our love extends to those who are not of our own race, tribe, nationality, or religion.” However Jehovah’s Witnesses did not provide any supporting examples of neighborly love in action in the lecture “Love of Neighbor”.
Here is a recent example of Jehovah’s Witnesses showing neighborly love in action:-
Shortly after the start of the Ukraine – Russia war in February 2022, Jehovah’s Witnesses in the receiving refugee country were seen holding up the logo of their official website at the border, to welcome only Ukraine refugees who are exclusively members of their own religion, who would obviously recognize the meaning of the jw.org logo.
If any other non-Jehovah’s Witness refugee walked up to them asking for food and shelter as an absolute stranger, most likely that person would be politely turned away and be told to check with other refugee organizations.
Other religions were at the border with blankets, warm soup etc. for the Ukraine refugees regardless of religious affiliations, but Jehovah’s Witnesses were there only with their logos – not even a biscuit or water to share with the needy.
The above actions of Jehovah’s Witnesses of surrounding countries was distasteful, discriminatory, not in the spirit of the good Samaritan and left observers asking “What would Jesus do?”.
The true colors of Jehovah’s Witnesses and their abuse of freedom of religion to justify their intolerance for any who do “not agree with Jehovah’s standards and obey him”, is clearly abundant at this convention. David Schafer continues to promote Jehovah’s Witnesses’ religious intolerance, disdain, contempt, scorn and ridicule for the LGBTQIA community, under the guise that those who do not agree with his religious standards, can never “be at peace with God” and that “upholding Jehovah’s righteousness is essential for enjoying true peace”.
In his lecture, David Schafer spews out the following disparaging homophobic remarks:
Satan wants us to become part of this world by adopting its unrighteous standards. In the world, sexual immorality is practiced without shame. Homosexuals flaunt their conduct.
And merely approving of unrighteous conduct displeases Jehovah. Still, we do not hate individuals who practice unrighteousness, nor do we judge them. So we communicate impartially with all our neighbors. But we hate unrighteous conduct, and we refuse to compromise Bible principles.
“Listed below are offenses that may require review by a judicial committee [whose purpose is to expel the offender from the religion and actively promote the subsequent shunning of the offender]. Of course, this list is not comprehensive……Sexual Immorality (Por·nei a):… It includes adultery, bestiality, homosexuality, and prostitution…. Willing participation incurs guilt and requires judicial action.”– para. 2, Chapter 12, “Shepherd the Flock of God”—1 Peter 5:2, April 2022.
