Our religious practice is guided by a deep respect for personal autonomy and decision-making. Each member of our community is encouraged to make informed and voluntary choices about their beliefs and lifestyle. This respect for individual choice is a cornerstone of our faith and is reflected in the way we care for and protect our children. – Jørgen Pedersen

What Jørgen Pedersen claims

Jørgen Pedersen, identifies himself as Spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses and claims that their “religious practice is guided by a deep respect for personal autonomy and decision-making”; that each member “is encouraged to make informed and voluntary choices about their beliefs and lifestyle”; and that “respect for individual choice is a cornerstone” of their faith.

The irony of these claims is not lost on those who have a lived experience within mankind’s most restrictive cult.

More importantly, the author(s) know full well that such claims may not be challenged by secular authorities lest they be interpreted as challenges against belief itself.

This is the great power that religious freedom bestows upon unscrupulous men. It permits them to exact subjection and taxes from their believers without interference or regulation from secular authorities.

Pedersen is nothing more than a homing pigeon locked in a cage let out only to send a message if and when directed by his owners

Jørgen Pedersen neither has the mental aptitude or logical fortitude to have conceived the deceptive and manipulative diatribe he has lent his name to. No. These statements were formulated by men with more experiential, legal, and practical minds.

The latter understand that first and foremost their authority and direction must not be challenged by their subjects. Secondly, the group must be framed as benevolent and peaceful, showing little or no animosity towards its critics. Lastly, it is a warning to the secular authorities that their freedom of belief and practice is enshrined in national constitutions and international declarations and aggressively supported by “renowned scholars”.

Pedersen is nothing more than a homing pigeon locked in a cage let out only to send a message if and when directed by his owner. He has no “personal autonomy or decision-making” power to write his personal thoughts to the media for fear he may contradict or weaken the agreed arguments and responses developed by the collective and superior mind of his religious overlords.

Therefore, it’s fair to say that “respect for personal choice” is limited insofar as it aligns with the religious group’s direction. Proof of this is contained within the publication produced by and for the leaders’ of Jehovah’s Witnesses entitled, Shepherd the Flock of God. All other choices are apostasy and result in expulsion.

We will make no further comment on future messages from the Norwegian homing pigeon unless it isn’t addressed by this article.

Therefore, we recommend readers save this short article as a continual reference countering the repetitive diatribe of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Norway.
