Watchtower Library 2016, now just called Watchtower Library is the 19th & last edition of Jehovah’s Witnesses’ research library. It will automatically update on a regular basis within the software. This will negate the need for acquiring subsequent versions of the CD-ROM. There are currently links to 30 language versions on this website:

A. Start up your original copy of Watchtower Library 2016.
B. Click Help in the menu bar; choose Manually Apply Update Package….
C. Locate the Watchtower Library Updater file on your PC and click Open.
D. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Watchtower Library is a digital research tool for Watchtower publications. Its been in use since 1994. The first edition was entitled Watchtower Library 1993. Initially, versions were released every two years. However, from 2004 they have been produced annually. The CD-ROMs are currently designed for use with the Windows Operating System only. There are numerous third party software applications that provide the Watchtower Library for other operating systems.

There is a separate JW Library App that is available for numerous operating systems. This app can be downloaded from Apple Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store. For Mac Users, you may download additional software from JWlibrary.net.

On this page you will find numerous versions of the Watchtower Library CD-ROM. It is provided in different languages and across many years. Simply select a language, choose a year and download. Once you have downloaded your preferred copy, unzip the file, and double-click the file setup.exe and install the program.

If you have a version of the Watchtower Library that is not included here, we’d like to hear from you.

WARNING: Content on Watchtower Library CD-ROM does not always match content found in their printed literature. Why? Because Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, also known as JW.org, sometimes alter the digital versions of their literature. They do this to remove any incriminating data (e.g. false prophecies, misquotes etc). For example, compare the printed version of the January 1 1989 Watchtower, page 12, paragraph 8 with any of the digital versions. Or more recently, compare page 3 of January 2015 Awake and page 4 of August 2015 Awake! print editions with their digital edition counterparts.
