Jehovah’s Witnesses’ worldwide activities are supported by donations from members and others who feel inclined to give off their hard-earned cash to a religion who provides no transparency as to how exactly those funds are used.

We here at AvoidJW.org think that an organization that claims to be “God’s organization” should be completely transparent with how their members money is being used. For example, how much money is used for the financing of assemblies and conventions? Why is there a real push for donations while properties in Brooklyn, New York are selling for hundreds of millions of dollars?  What percentage of worldwide funds are used for humanitarian activities? How much money does Watch Tower have? These and other questions relating to funds are not being answered.

The Watch Tower likes to use verses in 1 Chronicles chapters 28 & 29 to encourage members to donate. These scriptures in the bible provide the example of King David asking for money and the Israelites willingly giving. The promise David made is that the money would be used to build a great temple to honor God. How was that money used? Well, David didn’t live to build the temple. God punished him for the blood he shed and so Solomon built the temple. He started to build it 4 years after the death of his father. He forced 183,850 men to build it. As to how the money was used, it’s all detailed in 1 Kings chapters 5 & 6 and 2 Chronicles chapters 2 & 3. The transparency with regard to donations used in the bible are in stark contrast to how donations are used within “God’s organization” today.

How are donations used?

Try performing a search for “How are donations used” on JW.org. You’ll find that there are plenty of articles explaining how they finance their work, how you can donate to the work and lots of reasons for why you should donate. However, you won’t find out how much funds they have or any details regarding how those funds are used. You might be fortunate enough to get a top-level view of donations.

For you to get any idea of how donations are used, you must look elsewhere. You can find government agencies and charity regulators that keep records of church’s finances. Finding information can be costly or it may be too time consuming to trawl through hundreds of files to find anything related to Watch Tower and Jehovah’s Witnesses. So, what do you do?

AvoidJW.org is more than delighted to provide you with a one-stop-website for all you inquisitive folk who want to know how their hard-earned cash is being used.  Below, you will find links to lots of financial reports for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia and elsewhere.

We believe this is probably one of the most comprehensive lists of financial activities for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the world. We go that extra mile, with Jehovah’s help, to ensure God’s organization can’t hide behind the opaque walls of it’s various legal entities for much longer.
