A 90 year old Jehovah’s Witness in Germany has been sending many letters to his local congregation, other congregations in Germany, to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses (the branch) and even to Gerrit Loesch, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Here is one such letter. It is translated from German into English. The original can be found here.

To the Congregation

Dear brothers and sisters,

My name is brother Bruno M….. and I’m a loyal witness of Jehovah whose heart is beating undivided for Jehovah and Jesus. For 60 years I’ve been entwined with the congregation Neunkirchen-West (Germany/Saarland). Soon I will be 90 years old.

Early in January I wrote to an elder in my congregation to ask for a biblical opinion on his part. I suspect strongly that my letter in regards to momentous biblical consequences has been passed on to the circuit overseer in Selters. In spite of my three written reminders, and one verbal, I have not received any answer.

This is the reason, as a disciple of Jesus, why I’m referring to If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collectorMatt 18:17 in this special circumstance. There would be truthfulness in this since Jesus makes it known to use this opportunity to openly speak “to the congregation”. Are you willing to accept these directions of Jesus?

The following letter to the Governing Body concerns itself predominantly with the “coming” of Jesus according to Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.Matthew 24:29 and But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,Mark 13:24.

Without a doubt, [Jesus coming] will take place AFTER the tribulation. Please do not confuse this with the term “parousia” used for “presence”. The particular sentence that follows this (AND THEN they will see the Son of man…) is being cited in [Watchtower] publications as THE MAIN EVIDENCE that Jesus’ “coming”.Hence the judgement will take place DURING the tribulation. The bible teaching aids of the writings of the Watchtower organization are full of this “food”. I see it as the opposite of what Jesus is teaching.

We, as Jehovah’s Witnesses, have a precise picture of what the great tribulation is, what will happen DURING that tribulation and how it will unfold. Most Jehovah’s Witnesses are not aware of the catastrophic consequences due to the many main doctrines of the Governing Body and their perceptions of the end time.

And, now the “congregation” is being asked. Where lies the fallacy? I’m willing to learn. Show me that you are full of the holy spirit. Let me know, anyone.

With brotherly love

Bruno M….
