Jehovah's Witnesses: Earth's most fragile belief system

This website was founded by dedicated, baptized Jehovah’s Witnesses. Its mission is to reveal documents, files, and publications that are kept secret from the vast majority of Jehovah’s Witnesses, particularly vulnerable persons and women. The purpose is to encourage honesty and transparency in a religious group that vehemently struggles against criticism, instead attempting to portray it as ridicule and hate, because it considers itself God’s one true organization on Earth – Matthew 24:45; Mark 4:22; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; 2 Peter 3:3.

This website (avoidjw.org) was created to help you learn about the controlling & secretive nature of the organization behind Jehovah’s Witnesses, often referred to as “The Society”, “The Organization”, or “Watchtower”. We provide you access to older and secretive publications that the leaders of Jehovah’s Witnesses would not like you to know about. We show you the deceptive reasoning used within the pages of the books and magazines. We discuss key individuals who were or are associated with Jehovah’s Witnesses. We help explain the reasoning methods employed by Jehovah’s Witnesses that are used to convince you of their world view.

The content found on this website has been beneficial for a whole range of individuals. It has helped current Jehovah’s Witnesses understand the inner workings of their religious group and how they deal with various situations, such as judicial committee meetings, the handling of child sexual abuse, and their underhanded methods when it comes to child custody, to name a few. Information on this website has been used by governments, courts, law enforcement, journalists, scholars, therapists and others to help them understand Jehovah’s Witnesses more fully.

The website was founded in 2014. It has changed hands numerous times since then but has continued to serve the global community in a meaningful way.
